Being active can include participation in a particular sport or regular involvement in a variety of activities that keep you moving such as walking, bike riding, jogging and swimming.
The Active Lifestyle subject area in PDHPE is concerned with students adopting activity patterns that promote their wellbeing. In this strand, students have the opportunity to examine the components of a balanced lifestyle, explore options for recreation and develop the skills and attitudes necessary for an active lifestyle.

Exercise is not just good for your heart. Keeping active can help prevent all kinds of disease like diabetes and osteoporosis. Regular exercise can increase your metabolism, help you to sleep and even give you a sense of wellbeing that helps you to deal with stress.
